Title

A comparative study of institutional factors influencing entrepreneurial activities: a case study of Egypt and Saudi Arabia


Abstract

Researches on entrepreneurship and business enterprise concerning developing nations have normally explored the manners by which, culture, politics, or economic institutions disallow or empower entrepreneurial exercises utilizing macro-level surveys and deductive designs. Accordingly, this research aims to evaluate the extent of the contribution of institutional factors and governmental policies, as well as evaluate their impact on entrepreneurial activities, which in turn leads to the economic development of countries at all levels. Such a study is important to provide a measurement of the impact of Institutional Factors (Cognitive, Regulative, and Normative) on the Entrepreneurial Activities (Service Innovation, Corporate Venturing, and Strategic Renewal) in Egypt and Saudi Arabia (KSA) with measuring the moderation role of personal profile (gender, age, and education). The research approach adopted in this dissertation includes quantitative primary data from a questionnaire collected from 404 respondents from Egypt and 409 respondents from Saudi Arabia. Results showed that there is a significant relationship between Institutional Factors and entrepreneurial activities in both countries and.
